Summer time means two things; shorts and tie-dye! In case you didn’t know, tie-dye isn’t just for shirts. You can dye pretty much anything! This first one is super simple! All you do is take your dye, and apply it in a stripe pattern on your shorts. The colors will blend a little, but that’s okay! Now you have an awesome rainbow on a summer day. Check out how Crafty Chica created hers!

You’ve heard of ombre hair, ombre nails, but guess what; the ombre technique has made its way to tie-dye and it’s pretty awesome! If your shorts aren’t already white, or a lighter wash finish, then we suggest bleaching them for best results. Then add the dye to the bottom of your shorts and use a brush to brush the dye up towards the top. The last technique that would be awesome to try with your shorts is the dip dye technique. Simply put your dye powder in the tub and just add water.
