Word on the street is that tie dye is still the hottest fashion trend around! We don’t know about you, but one street trend we’re living for right now is the tie-dye jogging suit. Whether you’re working out, running errands or chilling at home with a flick, you can’t go wrong with this super versatile, comfortable look. Annie Papi will show you how to add a bit of edge to your tie-dye jogging suit with the cosmic colors in the Tulip Celestial Tie-Dye Kit!
- Tulip Celestial One-Step Tie-Dye Kit
- White 100% cotton jogging suit
- Disposable plastic table cover
- Sealable plastic bag
Before getting started on your own version of this fun street trend, you’ll want to wash your jogging suit without fabric softener. You can grab it straight from the washer to start tie dyeing, or if you’re doing it at a later time, just re-dampen under the faucet. Cover your work surface with a disposable plastic table cover to protect from the dyes.
For her jogging suit, Annie used the crumple tie-dye technique, but you can choose any tie-dye technique you like! Your tie-dye kit comes with rubber bands, so fold or scrunch your damp top and pants and bind with rubber bands to hold in place. Mix your chosen dye colors with water according to instructions.
Apply the dyes on your bound clothing, rotating the fabric as you apply the dyes in order to get all sides. When you’re finished, place each piece of clothing into a sealable plastic bag to keep damp while the dye processes. After the dye sets, rinse and launder your jogging suit according to instructions.
Once it’s washed, your new tie-dye jogging suit is ready to rock all over town! This is one street trend we hope never goes away. What are you tie dyeing with Tulip Tie-Dye Kits? Make sure to tag us on social and share with us!
